Whaleshark at North Twin in the Mergui Archipelago

We had a wonderful encounter with a whaleshark at North Twin in the Mergui Archipelago. Still young and curious, it stayed with us for 15 minutes! One group was also greeted by a huge manta ray at this place. Can’t wait to go back! (As a matter of fact, I AM going back in just a few days time...).

Devils in the Sky, the famous divesite up at Tower Rock, didn’t give us any sharks this time, but we did indeed have the little devils right up there in the sky!

Towards the end of this Burma Safari, we spent a glorious day at Western Rocky. We found Harlequin shrimps, Leopard sharks and Marble rays, just to mention a few.

Plenty of frogfish at several divesites, loads of seahorses (most of them Tigertails), Harlequin ghost pipefish and a nice collection of rare nudibranchs, including the Tambja Morosa, all contributed to a very pleasant and rewarding trip.
