Booking Policy

General Booking, Cancellation, Payment and others policies effective date July 1, 2023

Acceptance of the above booking means that you/your company agree to the terms and conditions as outlined below in their entirety and to be read in conjunction with any published addendum applicable for the booking period :-

Cruise Payments: Payments are preferred by telegraphic transfer in Euros, sender pays all fees, to the account on your invoice only
Guest payments in USD are available using the conversion on your payment link . Or contact us for exchange rate for bank transfers.
Note Short payments will be invoiced. Please send copy of your transfer advice by scan email as soon as you process payment.
Direct guest payments via credit card accepted and are “fee free”. Agent payment via card will be subject to a 6% admin fee on top
of the invoiced amount. Sorry we do not accept personal cheques or travellers cheques
Agent acceptance this booking , represents you/your company not that of individual guests and therefore you/your company
remain responsible for any/all payments no later than on or by the due date. Failure to make payments by the due date may result
in the guest’s space being released and any monies paid being forfeited. Group/charter payments are required to be paid as
invoiced and will not be accepted by individual participant payment for that cruise.

Snorkellers: are most welcome on board and will be charged at the same rate as a diver.

On Board Payments: On board sales are accepted in Indonesia Euros, US dollars , Indonesian rupiah and by credit card (Visa and Mastercard). Please note that on board credit card charges will be processed in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) only. All on board payments are subject to 11% VAT.

Cruise price includes: transfer to/from the vessel on departure/arrival days as per each cruise destination allowances , all meals,
snacks, fruits, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, soft drinks and drinking water, tanks, weights, weight belts and diving with experienced
and certified Divemasters & Instructors.

Cruise price does not include: Any applicable fuel surcharge, transfers to/from anywhere outside the cruise free transfer zone as
per our information packs, equipment rental, any on board courses, Nitrox and national park/port fees or on board purchase of dive
insurance. Any of these exclusions are to be paid in Indonesia only.

National Park/Port Fees: are payable on board only. National Park and Port fees are subject to increase and/or amendment by government policy and are out of Mermaid Liveaboards’ control. For Raja Ampat cruises, if you show have a valid Raja Ampat tag upon booking, we will apply a EUR 60 discount to your park/port fees.

Dive Insurance: Dive insurance is mandatory for all guests in Indonesia by government regulation. If guests board without proof
of insurance they are required to purchase on board.

Travel and Cancellation Insurances: Guests are strongly advised to have valid travel and cancellation insurances.

Guest Information: Guest Information forms must be submitted to Mermaid Liveaboards by email 8 weeks prior to the cruise.
Guest transfer details required 4 weeks prior if not submitted with guest information forms
When checking in, all divers are required to check/sign their liability release waiver and to show proof of diving certification and
dive insurance such as PADI, Dan or equivalent. Please have dive certification and insurance proof available in your hand luggage.
Guests over the age of 75 are required to provide medical clearance to participate in diving/snorkelling activities

 

FIT and Group Bookings (less than 7 pax): Deposits, Payments, and Cancellations
Deposit 30% within 10 days of booking
Final Payment 60 days prior to departure
Last Minute Bookings ie less than 60 days 100% payment within 3 days of booking, or prior to boarding if booked less than 48 hours prior to departure
Cancellations:
More than 90 days prior departure: Refund of deposit less €100.00 per person administration charge
90 to 60 days prior departure: Cruise non-transferable and deposit lost
Less than 60 days prior departure: No Refund, Non-transferable

Transfers are only accepted if requested more than 90 days prior to the cruise date. Transferred cruises are only transferable within
18 months of the original cruise date and will be adjusted to the rates applicable for the new cruise date. Any discounts valid for the
original booking do not transfer to the new date unless the same offer is valid for the same destination at the time of request.

Important Note: Refunds will be made by bank transfer only within 14 days of cancellation – beneficiary to pay any/all bank fees

Full Boat Charter or Group Bookings : a Group is identified as 7 or more pax on either vessel
10% non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required within 10 business days of booking. The next 25% of the total cost
to be paid no less than 120 days before the cruise date. The balance 65% is payable a minimum of 90 days prior to the cruise date.
If any payments are not made on or by the due date the cruise will be released, any monies paid will be forfeited and the space
made available for resale.
Cancellations: 

    • More than 120 days before the departure date, all payments will be refunded, less the 10% initial deposit.
    • Less than 120 days but more than 90 days before the departure date all payments will be refunded, less 35% of the total cost.
    • If a cancellation is made for part of the charter/ group then the refund will be pro-rated and any free of charge concessions will be
      forfeited. Any discount will reduce to FIT rate if cancellation results in less than minimum numbers for a group booking.
    • Less than 90 days before the departure date, no refunds will be made and date transfers are not accepted for any reason.

Minimum Numbers: Mermaid Liveaboards reserves the right to cancel any trip if there are less than the equivalent
of 4 deluxe cabin guests. Mermaid Liveaboards will endeavour to transfer the guest to a vessel the company deems to be of similar
or better standard . Alternatively we may ask the guest to transfer to the date before/after the cruise. In the event none of these
options are possible ,we will offer a full refund (please allow maximum 14 days processing time)

Policies : Mermaid Liveaboards and PT Indonesia Liveaboards and its booking company MMC Marine Pte Ltd reserve the right
to alter published rates without prior notice. Invoiced bookings will remain at the invoiced rates for that cruise date/destination.
If the invoiced booking is transferred to another cruise/destination, the applicable rates for that cruise will apply.

The company reserves the right to introduce any other fees as deemed necessary eg fuel surcharges.

Mermaid Liveaboards/PT Indonesia Liveaboards and their booking company MMC Marine Pte Ltd are held accountable solely by
the laws of Indonesia. Any contractual laws from countries other than Indonesia are outside of our concern.
Any booking and/or on board cruise dispute will be discussed only with nominated lead guest for their booking. Please submit
dispute via email only to info@mermaid-liveaboards.com post cruise and a reply will be issued within 7 days of receipt of any dispute.

Mermaid Liveaboards does not accept any legal liability for loss or damage to any luggage/dive equipment while being transferred
to or from the vessel nor while on board. Mermaid Liveaboards will offer any assistance possible to help with any insurance claims
for lost or damaged property.

Lastly, Mermaid Liveaboards, PT Indonesia Liveaboards and its booking agency MMC Marine Pte Ltd, do not offer refunds in the
event of personal injury, airplane delay, breakdowns, weather, sickness, strikes, war, criminal acts, pandemics, quarantine,
acts of God, if vessel must relocate due to guest evacuation for any reason or any other event whatsoever beyond the company’s
actual control.

Guests are strongly advised to have valid dive medical, travel and cancellation insurances. Guests are also strongly recommended to plan their holidays to arrive in the departure ports at least 1 day prior to the cruise. Please remember you are going to some truly exotic locations where the infrastructure is still being developed. Be prepared for some of the world’s best diving plus a maximum of comfort, service, and safety on M/V Mermaid I & II – Welcome on board!

Credit Vouchers Use and Expiry

Guests/Agents are to kindly note that travel must be taken for departure on or by June 30, 2024, for any credit vouchers issued in 2020, 2021, or 2022 resulting from Covid or any other Covid-related credit vouchers as the credit vouchers expire on that date.

Any other credit vouchers issued are valid for 24 months from the start date of the original trip.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

Please fill in the guest information form when you book your cruise and forward immediately to Mermaid Liveaboards via email info@mermaid-liveaboards.com   Please ensure you provide an email address and phone contact number for each guest plus complete the emergency contact information section.

VIP: All passports must have a minimum of 6 months validity including the period you will be in Indonesia plus some free pages. Failure to have a valid passport may have you stranded in your home country or another country outside of Indonesia!

Transfer information is required to be provided a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the cruise.  Guests may go directly to the Mermaid Liveaboard vessel in port; however please contact info@mermaid-liveaboards.com to check on arrangements and suitable times

All divers are required to complete a liability release waiver and to show proof of diving certification and dive medical insurance such as Padi, Dan or equivalent on check-in. Please have these available in your hand luggage.
