Jerry (known to his Mexican family as Gerardo) was born in Mexico in 1974. He qualified as a Divemaster in 1996 and in 1998 completed his Instructor Course. Jerry has had the dream of becoming a professional photographer since he was working in Cancun, Mexico as a photographer in 1994. His first ever camera was a Motor Marine II Sea&Sea, which he took to the Red Sea. During his days off he would go out and capture some great images.
Jerry and Debbie have combined photography with their work as Cruise Directors in one of the top ten liveaboards in Indonesia. In May 2012 they were married in Bali and became the Arriaga husband and wife team. Since then they have been shooting with a Canon 5D Mark II with a Sea&Sea housing and Inon Strobes and more recently with a Canon 5D Mark III. You can see their work on social media under the name of Our Ocean Images.
In 2012 Jerry entered an Australasia-wide photo competition and received second place. His photo has been published in Scuba Diver magazine in an article about Komodo.
