Grant Thomas

Originally from Scotland, I have always had a fascination with the natural world and in particular the ocean. After finishing a degree in Engineering I took the opportunity to travel. This was the best decision I have ever made, as it was traveling that really developed my passion for photography. I was, and still very much am, dedicated to capturing the real beauty of the places I visit.

Soon after leaving Scotland I began working as a PADI Dive instructor and purchased my first underwater housing. Photography was no longer just a part of my life, it had become my life.

The opportunity to work as full time as a photographer/videographer for Mermaid liveaboards, will allow me to produce underwater imagery which I hope will inspire more people to care about our Oceans.
