Komodo park’s dive sites are always full of surprises, changing conditions offering new experiences on every dive. Guests of the Mermaid II cruised leisurely around a fish packed Crystal Rock on the first day in the park, schools of surgeonfish hung lazily in the slack current asking to have their photos taken.
The standout dive on this trip was a late afternoon to sunset experience at Shotgun. Shooting through the channel past a lone manta at the surface guests spent most of the dive in cathedral light watching as white tip sharks began to hunt alongside trevally on schools of fusiliers. Surfacing into a Komodo style sunset was a memorable way to end the dive!
