Mermaid II June 29 – July 6, 2019

With a full moon mid trip, conditions in Komodo were exciting. After arriving in the park guests rode the current between islands at the dive site Shotgun, shooting through to the other side, meeting a Manta ray cruising in the current midway.

After seeing one Manta guests headed down to Manta Alley and were surrounded, counting 20 – 30 on one dive, both on the cleaning station and in an exciting current in the alley itself. Siaba Besar gave a more chilled dive with no current but friendly turtles everywhere.

To finish off the trip with a bang, guests dived Crystal Rock and Castle Rock back to back. Huge schools of surgeon fish roamed the reef whilst Jack fish circled above.
