Raja Ampat Spectacular Biodiversity

Raja Ampat, located in the Coral Triangle of Indonesia, boasts one of the most biodiverse underwater ecosystems in the world,
and is considered a global marine biodiversity hotspot. The region encompasses the Ceram sea and Halmahera sea, and is
known for its unique and diverse marine life.

With over 1,500 species of fish and 600 species of coral, divers can expect to encounter a wide range of marine life, including a variety of hard
and soft coral species, as well as a wide range of fish, mollusks, and crustaceans. The area also has a high density of endemism,
with many species found only in this region, making it an ideal location for marine research and conservation.

The limestone seascapes add to the beauty of the dive and provide a unique habitat for a variety of marine life. The region is also known for its
healthy populations of large pelagics such as manta rays and grey reef sharks. Night dives offer the opportunity to observe different species of animals such as squid and octopus, as well as the opportunity to observe rare nocturnal behavior. Raja Ampat’s marine biodiversity makes it a must-visit destination for any avid diver and marine biologists alike.
